Sponsored by Coastal Steward, Inc., Fabien Cousteau Ocean Learning Center, the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences at Stony Brook University, and the Youth Ocean Conservation Team
Pre-registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Youth Ocean Conservation Summit (YOCS). Join us on Saturday, November 4th in Endeavour Hall at Stony Brook University. Sign in begins at 8:00 AM.
Attendees will be inspired by dynamic speakers, including our keynote speaker, William Wise, the Director of New York Sea Grant and former Associate Director of the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. Students will also hear stories of student-driven ocean conservation projects; develop plans for their own projects and mini-grant applications; take part in workshops and training sessions designed to ensure success in securing their mini-grant for projects to improve the marine environment. Participants will network with researchers, marine organizations and other young people who are passionate about ocean preservation.
Be sure to register early as eating is limited. The first 50 student registrants will receive a free book.
